Our Pastor is Rev. Akio Iyoda.
Pastor Akio began his ministry at Grace UMC on July 1, 2022. He is married to the Rev. Dr. Shin Young Kim and has two sons.
Ministry is a second career for Pastor Akio has worked in the newspaper industry for 20 years before answering his call. He attended Alliance Theological Seminary. Pastor Akio’s last appointment was the Merrick UMC where he was their Pastor since July 2018. Pastor Akio is a chaplain at Interfaith Medical Center and served as a short-term missionary in Kenya. We are looking forward to Pastor Akio sharing his ministry with us here at Grace.
Pastor Akio is very happy to serve the churches of Grace United Methodist Church in Lindenhurst and Simpson United Methodist Church in Amityville.
